Another short jump today, 15 miles to the little village Ekenäs. I started almost closehauled but gradually the wind turned and soon I was on a broad reach. Not that strong, I was rarely over 5 knots, but it was very pleasant sailing in the sun. It was my first day on the whole trip that I was bare-chested in the cockpit. The salopettes I left in the locker yesterday, the weather is slowly becoming more summery and shorts is more comfortable now.

Ekenäs turned out to be a very charming and idyllic place. Not big enough for a grocery store or any other kind of public service, just a little harbour and some old beautiful houses. I didn't see many people, maybe some of them are summerhouses. In spite of it's size, the village has a great marine tradition, with a shipyard that used to build big trawlers, but is now only a repair yard. On my evening walk ashore I saw also a sign telling there was another boat builder, but from the size of it must be rather small boats they build there.
