Fresh westerlies was forecasted by all the models Thursday morning, increasing during the day. Maybe a full day without having to start the engine? I started with two reefs in the main and one in the genua, which seemed a bit too cautious out at see. But I decided to keep it that way until I had rounded Mön and see what it would be like on open water. A decision I didn't regret, I was soon making around 6 knots, but much more closehauled than I expected, the wind was almost northerly.

But I could hold my course without tacking and the day was still young when I entered Swedish waters. The good winds remained all day, and like the first day of this trip, I could go for sail all day.

I decided to try a very small marina a bit from the city center, in an area I know quite well. It was impossible to get in contact with the marina and ask for a berth, but I took the chance and went in to have a look. No problem, a long dock where I could go alongside and stay all by my own.

Now is the transport part of my Swedish summer sailing finished, from now on it will be sailing for pleasure. But first I will stay a while here in Malmö to hang out with my daughters and a little grandchild I have only met once before. I also hope to pick up the gennaker I have ordered at an Swedish sailmaker.
