Navionic's autorouting suggested another route the the "official" charted one. It looked actually better, more straight and coming out of the archipelagos a bit closer to Oxelösund than the other route. I decided to go for it, except for a modification in the beginning that looked a bit risky because of shallow water at one point. The Navionics route was not charted and not buoyed, so I had to follow very carefully on the chart. Most shallows are marked, but not all.

The day was grey and rainy, but the sailing was nice after a slow beginning. There was a gale warning issued for the area, but the worst of that was supposed to be farther out at sea.

I didn't see anything like a gale, and when I crossed Bråviken, where I had an uncomfortable passage last year, it was flat see with a moderate wind. I got a longside berth at Femören marina, a bit outside the town. I took the bike there for provisioning and then a late dinner on a Thai restaurant.
